Love this app. Love the ‘person spotted’ notification alert. Love that I can talk and listen to our fur babies. It’s a great and fun camera to have.
I ordered this thing before I read all the app reviews and got really nervous about my purchase. There are pretty terrible reviews about every aspect of this app, setup, basic use, app crashing, etc. So far so good for me. I did notice that there was an update to the app the day before it arrived. I don’t doubt the issues others have had, I just think/hope this company has resolved them through updates. It took me about 10 minutes to set up with absolutely no issues. The only reason it took 10 minutes was because it had to update the device firmware. I’ve messed with every feature of this and everything seems to work fine. I do wish the treat tosser would toss them more than a few inches, but it does work. The quality and range of the camera exceeded my expectations, it covers 100% of the area my dog will be in while I’m gone. I will adjust this review if I start to experience app crashing or other issues. But as of now I would totally recommend this to a friend. Things I’ve checked: Works well both on WiFi and cellular. Bark alerts work. Motion alerts work. Dog selfie feature works. Treat tosser is weak, but works. Picture and sound both ways are clear. Hope this was helpful
Have tried to watch on WiFi and takes FOREVER to load- even at home when I’m 50 ft from the unit!!!! Don’t know what is going on, but worked adequately before latest update. 🙄
Device worked fine for about a month, and now I’m getting the purple light of death despite countless resets, moving the camera direct next to the WiFi, etc. I’d like my money back for such a lacking device and app 👎 first you make people pay $175+ for the device then don’t even offer the full features of the app unless you upgrade to premium? Not a way to keep customers.
Works fine with WIFI but can never connect with T-Mobile cell network. So can only check my pups at office, not anywhere else. My boyfriend has ATT and it works. Interesting thing is when I first bought this product one year ago, I was able to connect with T-mobile and all of a sudden it stopped. I reported through the app and even offered to help test the app during trouble shooting because I DO love the camera. I constantly went back to check updates of this app. Can’t believe it’s been a year and still no progress on this simple issue. I don’t know what developers you hired. Hire better ones because it is an amazing concept and product but just pointless when it does not connect. Wish I can still return at this point. A cheap webcam does better than this
I like the device. The camera is good and the treat dispenser is novel but great. My issue is with the app. The audio in the app always cuts out and I am watching a silent video. I wish I could hear my dog whenever I check on him through the camera. I’m not sure if the microphone on the device is failing to work or the app is simply not picking up the audio. It seems to work again whenever I unplug the machine and plug it back in but cuts out after about 30 min.
I love the product but the app has so many connectivity issues for me. It’s great when I’m connected to WiFi but when I’m on LTE with T-Mobile I’m never able to connect and view my pet.
Who would ever buy a product and then agree to pay an undetermined amount at an undermined time? The total investment is UNKOWN! That seems illegal to me. Here, buy this expensive device, we will give you a free trial subscription for a limited time, but we’re not sure what we are going to charge you to use the app which is the only way your expensive device will even work once the bugs are worked out, but I promise we will let you know! Sending it right back. There are other options!

If you are inexplicably optimistic and enthralled with the premise of visiting your fur babies and dispensing treats, regardless of the many, MANY poor reviews, then follow my lead and try this product. But if you have better things to do than read trouble-shooting suggestions, reset a console, turn your phone off and on, pray for green lights, send screen shots to customer service (for which no reply is coming), for hours on end, then do those things instead. Like walk your dog for real. I'd love to be one of enthusiastic vloggers who say "the quirks" are frequent but tolerable, but I like the stuff I buy to actually work.
I always have connection issues, and it’s not my WiFi. I have to unplug my camera once a week to restart it so that it can sync back up with my WIFI. If it weren’t for the connection issues, this would be 5stars!
I rely on this so much when I’m at work! It’s so nice to be able to check in on my pup! This company deserves more credit because their camera works better then most security cameras. I know how difficult it is to create an app with hardware like this so hats off to you guys. You also paid me to do a promo on Instagram @steelhusky and this is one of the many products I got for free and genuinely use everyday!
I set up Furbo last night and was initially frustrated by ‘unskippable’ review request, having never used the device I had to give a 1 star review, as others have stated the ‘forced’ review was not a positive introduction to Furbo.... That being said, my furbaby loves... I mean LOVES 💜 his Furbo. He was licking the treat dispenser...I didn’t exist LOL. So great to be able to check on the center of my world & show him some treat love while at work. Setup was a breeze, if all else fails...read the directions 😉 . Recommended wholeheartedly!!
I was very excited when my daughter gave me this for Christmas. Nine times out of 10 it says “failure to connect” when I’m not home. Of course this is when I want it to work, to check on the dogs. I have to re-connect to the Internet three and four times a week. I am very disappointed with it. I have no idea why it disconnects. I have to keep the alerts off because it is always alerting me when there’s nothing going on. I can be sitting in my kitchen no one else in the house and then I’ll tell me there’s a person and the living room. I would not recommend this unless they fixed all these bugs.
A while back they had a firmware update that would take screenshots even when the Furbo was off. I still have concerns that the camera is really off when it says it is.
Update: 5/21/18 Unit has failed me again along with the app. Original review was for 1st initial unit now I’m on the 3rd unit. Seemed to be working moderately ok until 2 weeks ago. Updated app, reset several times, reset phone, tried different charging cord/blocks. NOTHING. not much help from support either, they seem to not stand behind the product. I was an initial purchaser before it was in production and now it just it a huge disappointment. App is clear and easy to use. It kept disconnecting from my wifi for no reason and had to restart it several times to get connection. Video,camera, & mic seemed to have massive lag as did the treat button. 3 taps and only released treats 1x. All in all great product, dogs and people happy!
$200 for nothing. Will not connect.
I like the idea of it, it’s really unique, but if it works! I’ve had Furbo since Christmas and many times it just doesn’t work. Like it’s plugged in, connected to wifi, I see the light on but it just don’t work. Also it has problems woth sending treats. So there are 2 reason for Furbo’s existence and 2 of them are just not working! I wanna return it back or problems to be fixed!
If you have a noisy house, you’re going to receive too many notifications. Every noise is perceived as a fog barking. Loud voices, sneezing, birds , laughing. By the end if the day I have more than 40 notifications on my phone!🤔🤔
Not sure why there aren’t a ton of positive reviews here!! Everything I wanted, and more. Super legit camera, nicely flings pieces of my dog’s food instead of treats, veryyyyy wide camera picture (favorite part of Furbo) and honestly I have no complaints after having it for a short time! This #CrazyDogMom approves, and then some!
Worked fine until the recent update which probably isn’t the issue itself. What’s frustrating is having to resync the wifi again, for the 100th time since I got the furbo device. I hope I’m not coming home to a mess because I have no idea what’s going on. It seems like 7/10 times there’s connection problems. When it’s working, it’s great though.
As the proud owner of a lovely 9 week old pup... I am stuck with the separation anxiety. I want to know how he is doing and reassure myself that I will not receive any complaints from surrounding condos. The app blows. I cannot get it to connect most of the time... despite the lighting system showing it is connected. If I unplug the system and try it works for one round then doesn’t... super helpful for $200+. Now when I first got the device and uploaded updates etc... it tells me that I can have access to “premium feature” that are “free for now”... motion detection, etc.... who pays for their camera to work!? Are you kidding me? That is a premium function?!? I can get a $20 camera that doesn’t launch treats, but offers more functionality and reliability than the Furbo and it’s terrible software/premium functions. My expectations were for the device to work... not only does it not work, they want to charge you to use the device in the future... get out of here!!!
I’ve been through three or for replacement Furbos now and the mechanism that throws the treats constantly breaks. Additionally the video freezes every time I hit the throw a treat button and I have to restart to see if my dog got it. No trouble shooting has helped. For the price, find another toy.
Still not working on T-Mobile using an iPhone 6s. After doing some digging it seems to be related to the app not being compatible with IPv6 protocol. Please fix as I can only use on WiFi!
I got my Furbo back in November. It worked fantastic until about a month ago where I am no longer able to connect to the camera through the app. I have tried everything and ever bought a NEW Furbo. Nope. Still doesn’t connect. PLEASE FIX THE ISSUE. The majority of your customers are frustrated as there is no number to call and the ‘customer service’ via email is useless.
It worked great, was easy to set up, and pretty easy to use. Loved being able to connect with my dog when I wasn't at home. However now the app doesn't work. It won't connect to the camera on wifi or with data. Just get a big red exclamation point of failure.
After trying for hrs. to set up... no response from support. Look at other pet cams, terrible app they basically steal your money.
I got my Furbo camera a little over a month ago. I was having the same issues most of the negative reviews on this app were having. So, I reached out to Furbo customer service in an attempt to fix the issue. First off: The customer service absolutely stunning. My case landed on a very lovely woman named Jen. She listened to my complaint and we talked back and forth about what exactly was going on with my device to cause the issues I was having. You guys...not only did she personally connect with my Furbo camera (I gave her permission to do so) to see exactly what is going on with my device and experience first-hand what was making me so angry, but she also sent me a ton of treats for my Furbo. Furbo has easily the best customer service and they stand by their product (as well they should) because this device is just phenomenal. Some of you giving negative reviews should really attempt to contact customer service before you blast a truly good company. You’d be surprised how far you can get by just being kind and polite.
I’m active duty military and this app was doing it good for me until this new recent update. Why did it have to disconnect me from my furbo or why do I have to stand next to it to update? I don’t mind updating it except I’m unable to because I’m over 400 miles away from my furbo. Now every time I try to check on my dog I’m left with a blank screen.
Save yourself the heartbreak of wasting $250 or whatever this junk currently costs and buy a $37 camera that has an app that does what it says it will do, all while not saying the alerts are premium features that will cost money in the end. If I could return it, I definite would. And no, I wouldn’t recommend this for a friend.

Works flawless for me from anywhere! During long days at work, it’s totally fun to check in on my baby dog and throw him treats! If I notice that he’s focusing too much on barking out the window, it’s good to change his thought direction! Love my Furbo!
We have used this now for over a month to keep an eye on our puppies when we are away. It’s been a total comfort! I can see what they're doing, pop them a treat if needed, and even talk to them. What more could we ask for? We love it!

Works fine on every iPhone and iPad in this house except iPhone 8 Plus. This includes iPhone 6, 6 Plus, 7, 7 Plus, iPad Pro 9.7, 10.5. I'm not sure about iPhone 8 or 10. On top of this, they intend on making Smart Alerts a premium service, meaning charging for this as an in app purchase, which is beyond belief. These features should be included in this overly expensive, partially functioning toy. Customer service is not all that great. After numerous emails where support runs through countless scripts, are your issues brought to level 2 support. My issue of not working on the iPhone 8 Plus was answered with, “continue using it with the iPad until it can be fixed”. Of course the iPad app is not native and ugly on the 10.5” Pro. Furbo has turned into an expensive paper weight and will be returned to the store.
App is stuck saying to download the latest update but there is none. Can’t use the app cause the pop up message won’t go away. Now it is unusable.

Unable to connect using data, only works when I am at home on the same WiFi. I’ve been waiting for an update to fix it, there is an update now, but the app is stuck in a loop trying to update. I have deleted the app, downloaded it again; problem persists.
This product DOES NOT WORK!!!!. It goes down regularly (twice a week) and then you have delete the app and start over from the beginning. Please please don’t waste your money

I got the Furbo as a Valentine’s Day present so that I could keep an eye on my cats when I’m out of the house. So far, I really love the product, and I haven’t had any problems with the app. My only complaint is that you can put in a ton of customizable information about your dog, but there’s no option to customize the app if you have a cat! It definitely isn’t that big a deal and doesn’t really affect how I use the product or the app, but I’ve seen a few reviews talking about using the Furbo for cats, so it’d be nice if they’d make that an option in future updates!
I am not lucky enough to work from home, and Furbo puts my mind at ease. I can check on my dog while I’m in the office, at the gym, anywhere that I cannot bring my dog along. It works best if the furbo is connected to your home WiFi. As long as the furbo is plugged in, and on WiFi everything is great. It also depends on the connection of your phone. If you’re in a dead zone, obviously no apps with work. If you’re using data or on WiFi on your phone everything works great!
Got this to watch my French Bulldog. Setup was easy and for the most part worth the 150$ or so I paid. Only had a few small problem and suggestions. First, it shoots more then one treat sometimes. Also, a force setting would be nice. 2nd, the time zone setting doesn't reflect the time stamp in the video. Other then that it works as advertised.
Even my skittish boy Saban is into the Furbo. We thought Pearl would be the only interested but nope, they all love it. Even the cat!! Was at a high basketball game the other night and tossing treats was almost as good as the b-ball game. Sometimes the video stream gets bogged down, but my other apps do as well. The perfect gift for our household.
The camera costs $200+ . In order to use their product you MUST use their app. Also they have things called smart alerts ( purpose of having security cameras in the first place is to be notified if something changes )! Most times these don’t work properly in the first place .... They are going to start to charge you monthly for using a service they should include seeing as you just spent a car payment on buying the dang thing!! This app is unreliable. It fails often , glitches, freezes , won’t connect .... and good luck contacting this company ‘s service department . Don’t waste your money or time on this unreliable app and. Poor quality product . Completely not worth the price tag !
I just got the Furbo today as a birthday gift and after downloading the app, I have been unable to set it up. I have tried numerous times only to be told the WiFi timed out? I know my WiFi is plenty fast so I’m not sure what the problem is, but I may have to return it.
I can’t on my good mind give a good rating when the APP DOESN'T EVEN WORK. Why does it fail to connect to the camera every time? All settings and connections are fine on my end. I go to settings in the app, and it says the camera is switched off? I didn’t do that; why would I? The app then gives me the loading circle, but never loads and so I can’t even switch the camera back on in the app. What’s the point of having this $200+ device when the app doesn’t work properly?! If this wasn’t a gift, I’d be ALL OVER returning it.
I love my furbo, but the app never works. I have to uninstall and reinstall the app anytime I want to see my dog. It’s so frustrating.
I could never connect via Bluetooth and so I couldn’t use the app or the product.This is not ready for primetime use!
